IFRC President Kate Forbes - ARCRA Webinar

Join us for a Live Conversation with IFRC president Kate Forbes on Tuesday, March 19, at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The webinar will include a presentation by Kate about her first two months as president, followed by a Q&A facilitated by ARCRA president Mary Buszuwski. On Tuesday, Kate will discuss her first two months in office. She will outline her historic trip to the Middle East, which included stops in Israel and Gaza to address the dramatic events of October 7, and the unfolding humanitarian crisis in Gaza. 

Kate's election as President of the IFRC in December 2023 was a historic moment, marking her as only the second woman to hold this position. In the role, she's committed to addressing the challenges of climate change and migration. She's dedicated to youth engagement and financial sustainability. 

Kate's time with Red Cross began more than four decades ago as a local volunteer at the Phoenix Chapter of the American Red Cross. She's held many roles including vice-chairman of the American Red Cross board of directors and national chairperson of volunteers, where she managed more than one million volunteers.
